Ventilation

The Importance of Controlled Airflow

Ventilation

Effective ventilation is the simple act of replacing used indoor air with fresh outside air. In energy efficiency and retrofit terms, it means controlling the airflow in a building to prevent problems with moisture, pollutants, and allergens as well as wasted heat – lost in the spaces where it could do no good. Thus, dwellings are made more airtight in order to prevent heat from escaping through drafty spaces and unintended leakage; controlled effective ventilation gains prominence. Without it, condensation can take place and then there is the mold growth; even after cooking or cleaning, residual odors can linger harmful airborne particles can settle inside a building on its occupants’ health. Virko Easy Retrofit understands that healthy smart homes need effective intelligent ventilation to support a comfortable healthy energy-efficient internal atmosphere.

Comprehensive & Heat-Recovering Systems

Our comprehensive ventilation systems are precisely engineered to provide a consistent supply of fresh, filtered air while recovering precious heat, benefiting both your health and your energy savings. We provide a wide choice of intelligent ventilation systems adapted to different building types and requirements. Our signature solutions frequently feature Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems. These advanced machines effectively extract stale, moisture-laden air from ‘wet rooms’ such as bathrooms and kitchens while also bringing in fresh, filtered air from outside. Crucially, prior to discharging the stale air, up to 90% of its heat energy is transferred to the entering fresh air via a highly efficient heat exchanger, greatly lowering the heating requirement associated with typical ventilation.

Tailored Solutions & Air Quality

Air Quality

This means that you get consistent fresh air without losing heat. Beyond MVHR, we provide targeted background ventilation solutions such as trickling vents, passive stack ventilation, and demand-controlled systems, as well as extractor fans for kitchens and bathrooms to effectively combat humidity and smells at the source. Our thorough ventilation and air quality examinations, which include airtightness testing, enable us to discover current difficulties and build a custom solution.
